Mophie Juice Pack iPhone Battery Sleeve PDF Print E-mail
Mophie Juice Pack iPhone Battery Sleeve
The mophie Juice Pack is the first Apple Certified "Work With iPhone" attached battery in the world. Rather reminiscent of the external battery "sleeves" that we used to use on our old iPaq's (back through the mists of time) it boosts the iPhone to an additional 250 hours standby time and adds an extra 7 hours video playback time...

Asus launch 9" Eee PC PDF Print E-mail

9

I had another play with an Asus Eee PC in an airport over the weekend. At £215 it took all my will power to stop me reaching for the plastic, but I'm so glad I did as it seems the 9" model is finally here!

The 901 will be infinitely more usable with its half-decent 1024 x 600 display.  Ppre-order prices seem to be around £330 but will hopefully fall when the unit starts to ship later this month. Although the new ultra mobile machine uses the same Celeron M processor, we hear it will run at 900MHz, compared to the 630MHz of of the old 701 model...

Android running on a Nokia N810 PDF Print E-mail

Talk Android have got screenshots of Android up and running on the Nokia N810.

There is apparently a guide to getting it up and running yourself, although it's targeted at users with more than a passing understanding of embedded Linux.

The guide site is also down at the moment, hopefully this is just a temporary traffic related problem.

O2 limiting 3G connections to 128Kb/s PDF Print E-mail

Here is an interesting news story for all the iPhone users crying out for a 3G version.

The Register is reporting that O2 is currently limiting it's 3G customers to 128Kb/s connections, only business users are deemed worthy of a 384Kb/s connection.

Now 128Kb/s is well within the capabilities of the iPhone's humble EDGE connection so it could mean that UK users won't see much of a benefit from the jump to 3G.

The iPhone is Hot - No I really mean HOT PDF Print E-mail

iPhone Hot

I've been meaning to write something on this for a while now and it happened the other day again and reminded me. I've noticed my iPhone getting really hot sometimes. Normally when it's in my pocket there's no heat at all, but several times now, over several months (and firmware versions) it's got really warm in my pocket...

Maximo iMetal & Skullcandy iPhone headset reviews PDF Print E-mail

The Gadgeteer have posted a couple of iPhone headset reviews:

Maximo iMetal iPhone Headsets

Audio quality with this headset is very good for both music and calls. I was very happy using it for both tasks. People on the other end of my calls commented on how clear I sounded. Listening to to music was enjoyable as well. Compared with the stock Apple buds, I would give the nod to the iP-HS1's for both telephony and music.

Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket

How do the FMJI's sound? Well, for making and receiving calls, they were fantastic. For music, I found that I did not require the volume to be set nearly as high as when using the stock buds. The first thing I really noticed was how thumpy bass lines were. With some songs, this was great, but with other songs, the bass was muddy and overpowering. I listened to various styles of music with these earbuds and noticed mixed results.

Nokia N96 review PDF Print E-mail

We aren't big fans of the N95 here at Berble so can't get too excited about it's replacement the N96 as it keeps the same form factor.

An in-depth review a few months before release is always good though and Mobile-review.com have just that, worth a read...
